LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- If you think your pet is a star, they have a chance to be featured on a calendar to benefit shelter animals.

The Animal Refuge Center in North Fort Myers is having an online calendar auction. Pet owners can bid to have their pet featured in the shelter's calendar for a month, or on the cover. The pet will have their pictures taken professionally. Proceeds from the bids will benefit the shelter.

The shelter's also having a Casino Royale event on Friday, July 6, at the Hyatt Regency in Coconut Point from 7 until 11 p.m. It'll be a bond themed event with live and silent auctions and table games like poker. Proceeds from that event will also go to the shelter.

Our pets of the week are Fairway and her 3 kittens, Bogey, Bunker and Divot. Fairway was abandoned while pregnant and taken to the shelter with 3 of her 5 kittens. The kittens have been in foster care and will be up for adoption soon.

The ARC says they've had a large influx of cats and kittens recently. To give a pet a loving home, go to the shelter's website
