GLADES COUNTY, Fla. -- Highway patrol says a pedestrian has died in Glades County after two different cars hit them on U.S. 27.
A Florida Highway Patrol report states it happened around 10:00 p.m. Thursday night, near Bronson Road, just west of Moore Haven.
They say the pedestrian, who's name and information has not been released, was standing on the outside northbound lane when an SUV hit them. A second car was less than a quarter mile behind and also hit the person.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say they don't know why the person was on the highway.
The drivers are not facing any charges.
