FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A person is being treated for injuries after getting hit by car overnight.
It happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.
Fort Myers Police shut down eastbound traffic on Colonial Boulevard at Metro Parkway to investigate the accident.
Police say the person did suffer injuries, but was conscious and was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
The scene was cleared by 12:30 a.m.
