COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol responded to an ATV rollover crash that happened in the woods near 260 Sabal Palm Road in Collier County at approximately 1:00 AM.

A report revealed three individuals were riding a "2018 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS High Lifter" off-roading vehicle. The ATV was designed to only occupy two individuals safely.

says 18-year-old Koleton Mitchell was riding the two-person ATV on a one-lane road with 20-year-old Oliver Mey in the passenger seat and 22-year-old Brenden Eddington sitting on a cooler. The ATV hit a tree and overturned onto Eddington.

Mitchell and Mey helped lift the ATV off of Eddington and brought him to a residence where they called 911.

Eddington was brought to NCH Baker Hospital Downtown where he was later pronounced deceased.
