FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A precautionary boil water advisory is in effect for people living near Pelican Preserve, Plantation Somerset, Bridgetown at the Plantation and Plantation subdivisions.
The city says water used for drinking, cooking, brushing your teeth, making ice and washing dishes should all be boiled.
The city of Ft. Myers Public Works Department are working on fixing a water break at Castlereagh Street and Kingsbridge Boulevard.
The boil water advisory will be in effect until officials have fixed the break and run test on the water showing that it is safe to drink.
