Parking fees have been waived in some areas of Fort Myers Beach for the month of September.
Lynn Hall Memorial Park and Bowditch Point Park are offering free parking now through September 30.
This is being done in an effort to bring more visitors to Fort Myers Beach and help support local businesses that have been impacted by the red tide.
The City of Sanibel is also suspending parking fees during the month of September.
According to the City of Sanibel, conditions are improving and they have not had any reports of fish kills during the past week.
