Pair arrested for stealing tires off rental cars in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Two people remain in jail Tuesday morning after Fort Myers Police say they were caught in the act stealing car tires.

52-year-old Audrey Gilliam and 55-year-old Gary Lumpkin face several charges.

Police say they caught the pair taking tires off of cars at the Enterprise Rent-a-Car lot on Fowler Street on Sunday morning.

Police say they are investigating a string of tire thefts.

Both are charged with grand theft larceny.
