FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lee County deputies arrested someone after responding to a scene at a home on Bobcat Drive, overnight, Friday into Saturday.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office said they had been called for a welfare check, initially. There, deputies met a "verbally aggressive" armed man, who pointed a firearm at deputies.
Then, the office said, a deputy subdued him using one "less lethal round." They then arrested the man.
The office said no one was injured in the shot fired. Deputies said everyone involved is accounted for, and there is no threat to the public.
The investigation is still active.
