CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A Punta Gorda woman is dead after a one car crash near US 41 and Main Street on Friday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Cheri Carr, 37, was traveling southbound on US 41 when she failed to maintain control of the car. FHP said the car struck the curb causing it to overturn, and she was ejected from the car and suffered fatal injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
