CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Charlotte County Fire Department is investigating a home on Hannah Street after a house fire sent one person to the hospital early Tuesday morning.
That's in the area just south of Veterans Boulevard near I-75.
The fire department says the call came in at 12:18 a.m. The first crew at the scene reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the home's garage. A total of four engines and other crews responded and were able to quickly get the fire under control, but not before the home sustained significant damage.
One patient was taken to Blake Medical Center.
This is still an active investigation and we are working to get more information.
