One person injured after gunfire reported outside Fort Myers bar early Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police are investigating a shots fired incident outside a Fort Myers bar after a man was taken to the hospital.

According to Fort Myers Police, they were called to the parking lot of the Chicago Boys Bar & Grill on Winkler Avenue around 1:15am Sunday. They arrived to find a dispersing crowd in the parking lot, and a witness told them that a shooting took place.

As police were investigating, they learned that one person was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

That person has been identified as 25-year-old Timothy Pruitt.

Police say that shooting was not a random act, and the investigation continues.
