HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — One man is dead after being hit be a car on I-75 in Hillsborough County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the car was traveling northbound on I-75, just north of the Hillsborough County rest area, when it collided with the man.
He suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, according FHP. Police have not released the male's identity, and notification of next to kin is still pending.
The car fled the scene following the crash. Deputies described the car as a Volvo commercial vehicle.
