CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla — A 76-year-old man from North Port has died after a single-car crash in Charlotte County.
Florida Highway Patrol says the man was driving in a sedan traveling northbound on State Road 776 in the outside lane.
Troopers say the man possibly experienced a medical episode.
His vehicle traveled crossed the grass median and collided with several small shrubs on the west shoulder.
Troopers say the driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
