NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Cape Coral man was critically injured in a single-car crash on Pine Island Road Thursday night.
It happened just after 9:30pm near the intersection with Piney Road, just west of Business 41.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Steven Blair was driving westbound on Pine Island Road when he drove off the roadway and hit a tree in the median.
Blair was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
Troopers say the crash was not alcohol related.
Blair will be charged with no driver's license, no seat belt, and careless driving.
