UPDATE: A missing Fort Myers man has been found in Tampa.

The family got possible word from someone on social media that he was spotted somewhere in Tampa.

Today a HART driver notified police after they noticed him riding the bus for a couple of hours.

On a Facebook post , the Tampa Police said Dillard and his family thanked them and are head back home.

“He don’t know he may be scared, he may think he close to home when he’s not just bring him home,” said Deloria Dillard, Tyriece Dillards’ aunt.

That's what the family of missing 35 year old Tyriece Dillard is asking. Tyriece was last seen January 3rd around 8pm by his older brother in their tight knit community, Harlem Lake. According to family, Tyriece was wearing all black with a red cap, and multicolored Addias high tops.

Tyriece is mentally challenged, but his aunt says he is high functioning, and knows his community.

“And usually if it gets late, he just comes home and stands in the yard, and he’ll be in the yard until he’s ready to come in the house. It was midnight and no Tyriece and that was like strange, we asked down the street have anybody seen him no one had seen him,” said Dillard.

This family says Tyriece loves and is loved by so many.

“Everybody is his aunt, everybody his uncle, even strangers he thinks their family, he’s just that type of person, he love god, the church home is his second home, just the community, the community helped raise him,” said Dillard.

Now the family is left to speculate.

“So it have to be, we looking like, it’s somebody that didn’t know him, may have taken him where he thought he wanted to go, and he usually, if he goes out of the community, he know his way home he won’t go too far,” said Dillard.

Saying they have had little sleep, and little to eat while working with police and city leaders.

“We’ve been doing it since Friday night and we’re still at it because we’re worried this is not Tyriece, this is not Tyriece.”

The family has put out Facebook posts asking for the public help hoping someone will call with good news. If you have seen Tyriece or have any information you are urged to call Fort Myers PD.
