LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- An apparent murder suicide Wednesday morning left one person dead and another in the hospital.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Summerlin Center Drive. That's near the intersection of Gladiolus Drive and Summerlin Road.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived to find a man who had shot a woman and then himself.
The woman died from her injuries, and the man was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
Undersheriff Carmine Marceno says this was an isolated incident and that the public is not in danger.
