GLADES COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers say one man has died and two others were injured in a collision between two motorcycles in Glades County Sunday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 60-year-old Dale Reiss of Okeechobee died in the crash.

An FHP report says that Reiss was riding a Harley Davidson eastbound on State Road 78 past Gun Club Road when another motorcycle in front of him slowed to make a turn into a parking lot.

Reiss crashed into the rear of the motorcycle and was thrown onto the road's shoulder. He was not wearing a helmet at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a passenger on the other motorcycle were also thrown onto the roadway. The driver, 77-year-old James Ruttan of Michigan, was seriously injured and taken to Lawnwood Regional. The passenger, 75-year-old Marcia Kubacki of Michigan, sustained minor injury.

The crash remains under investigation.
