Ohio man arrested for for pointing gun at family on I-75

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Ohio man was arrested Saturday after troopers say he pulled a gun out on a family during a road rage incident on Interstate 75.

After investigation, troopers arrested 48-year-old Joseph Laperna of Auora, Ohio. According to FHP, around 10:44 a.m., Laperna engaged in a road rage altercation with occupants of a 2018 Toyota Corolla while driving southbound near mile marker 118, south of the Corkscrew Road exit.

During the incident, Laperna pointed a gun at the people in a Toyota.

Troopers pulled Laperna over on Pine Ridge Road in Naples and placed him under arrest for aggravated assault and improper exhibit of a firearm and transported to the Lee County Jail.
