CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Your morning commute may look a bit different starting Thursday if you drive on Burnt Store Road.
Starting Thursday morning, if you're going northbound from Diplomat Parkway to south of Tropicana Parkway, you'll be driving in new lanes.
If you're headed southbound, nothing changes.
There will be signs to remind you but please drive carefully through that area.
It's all part of the ongoing Burnt Store Road widening project, in which all-new northbound lanes and bridges are being constructed between Pine Island Road and Van Buren Parkway.
The North Segment was completed in January 2018. The current construction is the Middle Segment, which is schedule for completion in Spring 2020. The South Segment is estimated for completion in Fall 2023.
