NORTH PORT, Fla.—Police in North Port are investigating a domestic disturbance that ended in a police standoff.
On Wednesday night, officials with the police department say a mom and her 24-year-old son were arguing. When the father tried to intervene, he sustained injuries from the butt of a gun.
Police tried to get the suspect out of the home, but when the suspect didn’t come out, a standoff ensued.
Police were on scene for several hours. No word what happened to the suspect.
