NORTH PORT, Fla. — Police in North Port is looking for more information after the death of a homeless man.
Jose Gavarrete 60, was a homeless man from Collier County, he was found in a retention pond.
Gavarrete was found in a rentention pond in the West Villages area.
A preliminary investigation revealed there were no signs of his death being a homicide.
However, police are asking the public if anyone has seen Gavarrete around the community to please give them a call.
