LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- We're working to find out more about what caused two schools in North Fort Myers to be placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon.
Fox 4 has had several parents reach out to say that North Fort Myers High School was placed on full lockdown.
Tropic Isles Elementary across the street was also locked down.
According to the Lee County School District, it was due to law enforcement activity in the area. The lockdown has been lifted, but dismissal was delayed because of it.
