NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. --- The North Fort Myers High School boys basketball team has a new coach, Leland Clifford.
"I couldn't be more excited to join the Red Knight family" said Clifford North Fort Myers boys basketball new head coach. "And I will build a program the student body, administration, faculty, and community will be proud of."
The schools Athletic Department made the announcement on Monday. Coach Clifford says this is a dream come true for him.
"In my first job interview in Lee County six years ago I told a colleague, I will be head coach at North Fort Myers one day!" said Coach Clifford.
Coach Clifford comes to the Red Knights after 4 years as the Head Coach at Gateway Charter High School. In his 10 years of coaching he has also been an Assistant Coach at Bishop Verot High School and on the basketball staff at Mullen High School in Denver, CO.
