FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We have some new details in the murder case against Earl Joiner.

Investigators say he killed his girlfriend Heyzel Obando, and then called 911 in 2016.

We found court documents that claim Joiner told the operator Obando was covered in blood and needed an ambulance. And when medics got there, Joiner was acting like he was giving her CPR, but wasn't actually pushing.

Heyzel's mom says Heyzel was planning to confront Joiner about cheating on her and trying to spend her tax return money.

According to the documents, Heyzel told loved ones Joiner was abusive and made repeated threats to kill her.
