COLLIER COUNTY, Fla., -- A Naples motorcyclist was critically injured when he crashed near Ave Maria Monday evening, trooper say.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 52-year-old David Jolicoeur was riding northbound on Camp Keais Road near Pacific Grade Road around 6 p.m. when he drove off the roadway.
His motorcycle entered a ditch and overturned. Jolicoeur, who was not wearing a helmet, ended up on the side of the road.
He was flown to Lee Memorial in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
