NAPLES, Fla. -- In Southwest Florida, there's no better place to ring in the new year than on the beach.

And that's just what hundreds of people did in Naples Tuesday night.

Some people spent the evening enjoying the cool water, while others just sat back and relaxed, waiting for the fireworks show from the Naples Pier.

It wasn't just locals, of course. People from all over were showing up.

We chatted with a family from Michigan, who say there's no other fireworks display quite like this one. "Nothing like it anywhere…we have lakes, but there's nothing like this cause you can see it from several different spots," said Amy Postma.

The fireworks show lasted about 25 minutes and was visible along the shore for miles.
