Person of interest now in custody in connection to Naples Bank Robbery

UPDATE (11:45am): Deputies have a person of interest in custody following Wednesday's robbery at Iberia Bank.

NAPLES, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for a man that robbed an Iberia Bank in North Naples Wednesday morning.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, the man seen in the surveillance image here entered the bank branch on Pine Ridge Road between Goodlette-Frank Road and Airport Pulling Road at 9:31 a.m. and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Patrol deputies, K9 units and Aviation are out searching the surrounding area.

The robber is described as white with a slender build. He was wearing a plaid shirt, jeans, white tennis shoes, a black beanie and sunglasses.
