Florida Highway Patrol says 13 people had to be rushed to the hospital after a serious crash on Corkscrew Road and State Road 82 this morning.
They say the two vehicles involved were a pickup truck and a 15 seat passenger van.
Investigators say the pickup truck was traveling east on State Road 82 in the eastbound lane while the van traveled west in the westbound lane.
The pickup truck tried to pass traffic by changing lanes.
FHP says the pickup truck got into the westbound lane and ended up hitting the van head-on.
The van was carrying at least 15 passengers.
Thirteen of those passengers were sent to three local hospitals.
Three of the people who were in the van are in serious/critical condition.
FHP says the driver of the pickup truck was issued a citation for changing lanes improperly.
