The Lee County Sheriff's Office says multiple people were arrested after several fights broke out at East Lee County High School Wednesday.
Videos posted on Instagram and Snapchat show three separate incidences.
In one fight, a student was arrested for disturbing a school function.
As deputies were addressing that, the school says two other fights broke out involving six students.
School administrators jumped in to break up the fighting, and two staff members were injured.
"There was multiple cops out here, security, it was just ridiculous. People were just fighting because everyone else was fighting and they felt the need to," said one student.
The school principal says arrests were also made in the second fight.
"The safety and security of our staff and students are always our highest priority. We do not condone this behavior and will discipline the students involved to the fullest extent per the student code of conduct," said Principal Sue Zellers.
Principal Zellers sent a letter to parents Wednesday notifying them about the fights.
