A Fort Myers man was killed in a car crash after trying to pass a school bus, shortly after 5 p.m., Friday afternoon.
Florida Highway Parol troopers say William Perry, 60, was traveling south n SR-31, just north of Cook Brown Road, when he attempted to pass a school bus and collided with an oncoming car.
Perry's car then spun counterclockwise and collided with a third car, FHP said in a report.
Perry was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers say Perry was wearing his seatbelt during the time of the crash, but it is unclear if alcohol was a factor.
