LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A North Fort Myers man was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Slater Road Wednesday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, just before 7 p.m., 27-year-old Travis Henry of North Fort Myers was riding a KPX Enduro motorcycle northbound on Slater Road when a southbound pickup truck turned left into the motorcycle's path at Rich Road.
The motorcycle hit the front of the truck, and Henry was thrown into water-filled ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time.
Troopers say charges are pending and the crash is under investigation.
