CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle that left one man dead Monday.
It happened around 4:45pm at the intersection of Burnt Store Road and Royal Poinciana.
According to Punta Gorda Police, a collision happened between a motorcycle and another vehicle.
74-year-old Dennis Mortiz of Punta Gorda was critically injured in the crash and taken to Bayfront Health Punta Gorda, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Police say the crash is not believed to be alcohol or drug related.
The incident is still under investigation.
