COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Residents in eastern Collier County may have heard a helicopter overnight and could see more Wednesday morning.
Collier County Mosquito Control was spraying for insects Tuesday night in parts of Golden Gate Estates.
And beginning around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, the mosquito helicopter was scheduled to spray an area just west of Ave Maria.
Remember, mosquitoes breed in standing water, so it's a good idea to empty anything on your property that holds water.
If you have puddles, you can go to Collier Mosquito Control District offices and pick up some free mosquito fish that will eat the larvae.
