**UPDATE (2:30PM)** -- The Coast Guard reports that they have recovered the missing diver off Sanibel Island.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Air and marine units are searching for a missing diver 18-miles off the coast of Sanibel Island.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, a report came in that a 52-year-old male on an 18-foot boat never resurfaced from a dive.

Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater dispatched a HC-130 Hercules and an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew, along with a 45-foot Response Boat Medium crew from Station Fort Myers Beach.
Also searching is a Lee County Sheriff's Office marine unit, Cape Coral Fire Rescue and Estero marine dive team.
