CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A student at Caloosa Middle School has been arrested for making an online threat.
According to a message sent out by Principal Ann Cole, the student was arrested Sunday night.
The complete message was:
In the interest of open communication, I wanted to inform you that one of our students was arrested last night for posting a threat on social media.The student’s actions will have severe legal and educational consequences as threats like this will not be tolerated by law enforcement or the School District. The safety and security of our students is of the utmost priority.
I want to thank the family that saw the post and immediately notified law enforcement. Seeing something and saying something is key to keeping our students and employees safe.
