PUNTA GORDA, Fla.-- People living in Punta Gorda could soon have medical marijuana available in the city.
City council voted on March 7, 2018 to lift a ban that had been in place since August 2017. The ban was originally supposed to last a year.
In October, city council discussed a permanent ban but did not move forward with it. In November 2016, voters approved Amendment 2, allowing medical marijuana statewide.
