CAPE CORAL, Fla — The city of Cape Coral says the Chiquita Lock will now be closed because of a mechanical issue.
The city posted about the issue on Facebook.
The Chiquita Lock is closed temporarily due to a mechanical issue. Boats are unable to pass through the Lock until repairs can be made. This post will be updated when the Lock reopens.

The city says repairs will be made as soon as possible, and they will update everyone on the issue once repairs are finished, and they reopen the lock.
