COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Marco Island will soon be the latest Southwest Florida city to allow medical marijuana dispensaries within city limits.
City council members have directed the city attorney to come up with a resolution saying medical marijuana dispensaries are permitted on the island.
Florida voters gave a thumbs to medical marijuana in 2016.
Since then, individual counties and cities have passed their own ordinances regulating dispensaries.
