COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- The Chief of Police for Marco Island submitted a resignation letter Thursday, announcing his intention to retire on June 15th.
According to a letter sent to current interim city manager David Harden, Chief Alfred Schettino writes that he has decided to file retirement paperwork to step down on his 10th anniversary working for the City of Marco Island.
Schettino has been in law enforcement for 42 years.
