Matanzas on the Bay is hosting its first-ever craft beer event, “Matanzas Craft Beer Fest on the Bay,” on Saturday, Nov. 10 from noon to 4 p.m.
The event will bring local breweries, musicians and cuisine to its waterfront setting on Fort Myers Beach. A variety of craft beers will come from five local breweries: Bone Hook Brewing Company, Fort Myers Brewing Company, Momentum Brewhouse, Palm City Brewing and Point Ybel Brewing Company.
According to Matanzas on the Bay, they will offer a spread of food from their menu, and live music will be performed throughout the event. Soulixer will perform from noon to 2 p.m., followed by Sheena Brook from 2 to 4 p.m.
This fundraising event will benefit Operation Open Arms, a charity military outreach program that provides active, foreign duty U.S. service personnel special services. The organization enables soldiers with PTSD mental health care within 30 days of returning home from deployment.
For 13 years, Operation Open Arms has served 3,900 U.S. troops returning from combat or foreign duty stations, totaling $16.3 million in direct benefits.
