SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla.-- The Lee County Sheriff's Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife came together to help rescue manatees.
LSCO posted the video of on their Facebook page on Tuesday, December 5. They say the two mammals were rescued on Monday, December 4 from a retention pond.
FWC biologists and Lee County deputies used massive nets to get the manatees out of the pond.
They were landlocked from the receding water from Hurricane Irma. The manatees named "Bertha" and "Ernie" are in good health.
