LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies say a man used a fake $100 bill to buy Florida Lottery scratch-off tickets.

According to a Lee County Sheriff’s incident report, it happened at the 7-Eleven store on Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers.

Deputies say that on February 25th around 8:40 p.m., the man asked for 10 Gold Rush lottery scratch-off tickets for $10 each.

After exchanging the tickets for the money, the cashier realized the bill was a fake and demanded the tickets back.

Instead, the suspect ran out of the store and got into a car waiting in the parking lot.

The man is described as a white male with tattoos and wearing a black hoodie.
