FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man was living in the attic of a daycare for a week before being discovered.
According to an arrest report, Isiah Jones, 30, had been living in the attic of the Healthpark Child Development Center.
Jones was discovered after the business reported having issues with their surveillance equipment.
A fiber optics company was called and found that the wires had been cut. The company fixed the issue.
The daycare started experiencing problems again. The company went back out and saw video surveillance of a suspect inside the facility. The company alerted deputies, and they evacuated the building.
The Lee County Sheriffs Office responded and found an attic where Jones had set up a sleeping area with mats, fans, food, and water.
Jones was arrested and charged with Burglary to an Unoccupied Structure Unarmed, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, and Petit Theft.
