CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- A man found in a teenage girl's bedroom is facing 15 years in prison.
43-year-old David Reeves was sentenced for breaking into a Charlotte County home in 2017. The girl woke up with Reeves in the room when the dogs outside her door began barking and her dad came in to see what was wrong.
Reeves ran, but was later caught by police.
He is charged with burglary of a dwelling, false imprisonment, petit theft, and failure to register as a sex offender.
