A woman and her grandchildren are fearing for their lives after the say their neighbor pulled a gun on their pet out of frustration in their own driveway.

Kristoffer Loflin tells Four In Your Corner he got a call from his teenage daughters his neighbor a few doors down pointed his gun and threatened to shoot their elderly grandmother in the presence of his two teenage daughters and 15 month old baby.

"He's a lunatic with a gun terrorizing the street,” Loflin said.

Loflin says his big dog “Bolt” bolted out the door and through the fence he’s making repairs on, over to the neighbor’s yard.

According to a report by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the neighbor told deputies his family was having dinner when his one year old daughter attempted to open the front door. At the time, he noticed Bolt on his property. He claims the dog has been on his property multiple times without the dog owner’s present and he feared that the dog may be aggressive towards his daughter.

The man told deputies he yelled at the dog to “go home” and continued to yell at the dog until it was back at the owner’s residence. Deputies say the man stated he never showed his gun to anyone or pointed it at anyone but told the dog owner’s that he would put the dog down if it came onto his property again.

Four In Your Corner tried to get the neighbor in the video to comment but no one answered the door.

Meanwhile one of Loflin’s teenage daughters says she’s afraid to encounter him on the street.

“I’m afraid of him like any moment he can come out with a gun again,” she said. “He was like I almost shot your dog…I’m going to shoot your dog and your grandma.”

A camera captured the incident. Surveillance video shows the man walking up towards the family’s driveway. At one point, the man in the video is seen backing away as the dog approaches the him. Loflin claims his neighbor was cocking his gun as he walks up.

“I don’t understand why he isn’t in jail,” Loflin said. “He took this way too far. Bolt would never hurt anyone. He’s great with my 15 month old girl.”

The family has decided to install surveillance cameras and have filed a restraining order against their neighbor. They also plan on pressing charges.
