UPDATE (Sunday, November 24th): The man arrested for a hit and run accident that killed a mother and son on State Road 82 Friday, is being held on $301,000 bond.

He is facing five charges which include, two counts of Hit and Run Involving Death, two counts of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Damage, and Failing to Register a Motor Vehicle.

UPDATE (Saturday, November 23rd): A suspect connected to a hit and run accident that killed a mother and son on State Road 82 Friday, was arrested Saturday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Highway Patrol arrested Courtney Masterson, 42, for leaving the scene of the crash. Masterson will be booked into the Lee County jail. Troopers impounded a 2001 Dodge 3500 as the suspected hit and run vehicle.

UPDATE (Friday, November 22nd) -- Troopers are looking for help locating a pickup truck they say hit and killed two people changing a flat tire on State Road 82 Friday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a red pickup truck fled the scene after hitting two people and two vehicles. It is believed to be a 2000-2002 Dodge 3500 Dually truck.

Troopers say there were two unoccupied vehicles on the roadside, with two people working on a flat tire at the edge of the travel lanes of State Road 82 near Gregory Avenue. They have been identified as 46-year-old Katherine Cujas and 26-year-old Ronald Cujas.

That's when a westbound truck struck the side of one vehicle, then the victims and the other vehicle. The truck then swerved onto the curb before returning to the roadway and continuing westbound.

Katherine and Ronald were pronounced dead at the scene.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers say a fatal hit-and-run crash caused roadblock on State Road 82 in Lehigh Acres Friday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened a little after 7 a.m. on S.R. 82 at Gregory Avenue.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is also on scene, reporting that all westbound lanes of S.R. 82 are closed, and that drivers should seek alternate routes if possible.

FHP tells Fox 4 that two fatalities are involved. They say that two vehicles were stopped on the roadside to repair a flat tire when a pickup truck crashed into both vehicles and left the scene.

The road is expected to remain closed until approximately 11 a.m.
