Man caught stuffing boxes of golf balls in his pants in Naples

NAPLES, FL. — On March 31st and April 5th, a white male was observed on camera with a dark beard wearing shorts and a blue jacket walking into the PGA Superstore located in Naples.

Surveillance video showed the man placing twelve boxes of golf balls into his pants and jacket on March 31st and on April 5th, surveillance showed the man taking four boxes of golf balls and proceeded to put the boxes into his pants and jacket again.

Employees of the PGA store followed the man and observed him getting into a maroon Kia Sorento. The detective on the case was able to identify the owner as James Milford. After a brief investigation, it was determined that the man in the video matched his son, James Milford II. Employees also identified Milford in a photo lineup.

Milford’s attorney arranged to have him turn himself in. He was then transported to the Naples Jail Center.

James Milford II has prior theft convictions, 2nd degree Petit Theft, Grand Theft 3rd Degree Felony $300 less than $5,000, 3rd Degree Felony from Seminole County, 1st Degree Misdemeanor Petit Theft $100 less than $300.

Because of his prior arrest and convictions, the Petit Theft offenses were elevated to a felony offense.
