LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — The East District Criminal Investigations Division with the Lee County Sheriffs Office arrested one man for breaking into a Lee High Acres home and battering the victims inside.
LCSO says on Saturday around 8:45 PM the victims heard noises coming from outside their home they pulled up their home surveillance system and saw a man attempting to break into their car.
The victims saw the man running up to the front door and begin violently beating it.
The man eventually broke the door down and forced his way inside. He battered one of the victims before fleeing outside of the house.
The man ran across the street and entered a third victim’s vehicle and then fled into the woods.
Dimitri Allen, 29, was charged with Burglary with Battery, Burglary to a Vehicle, and Vandalism.
Allen was taken into custody without incident.
