COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with using stolen credit cards to purchase more than $500 worth of items from a North Naples Walmart.

William P. Collins is charged with fraudulent-illegal use of a credit card, attempted fraudulent use of a credit card and fraud-impersonation-possession or use of ID of another, all felonies.

Collins is a suspect in similar crimes around Collier County involving vehicle burglaries where credit cards have been stolen and used fraudulently at local stores.

Collins was captured on store security video using stolen credit cards to make electronics purchases from Walmart at 5420 Juliet Blvd on May 20.

Upon further investigation, deputies identified Collins as the suspect in the store video.

In the photo, Collins was wearing the same shirt as in the Walmart security video. The photo also showed a tattoo on his upper right arm that was also visible in the video.

Collins was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Collier Boulevard.

Deputies say he ran his pickup off the road near Serenity Walk Park. Detectives arrived on scene and arrested him in connection with the Walmart incident.

The investigation continues.
