CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police have arrested a man accused of firing several shots from his truck outside a former co-worker's home.
24-year-old Shawn Roberts-Pugh was arrested Thursday for the shooting incident, which happened on April 6th, 2019 in the 400 block of NW 17th Place in Cape Coral.
Police say they were contacted by a resident who said that Roberts-Pugh had been showing up outside his house since he was fired from the company they both worked for. Roberts-Pugh would reportedly blast music loud and do burn-outs in his truck.
The person says that on April 6th, he heard loud music and saw Roberts-Pugh drive by and park a block away. Another resident came out and pointed a rifle with a red laser at the truck. Roberts-Pugh responded by pointing a green laser at him.
Roberts-Pugh then reportedly got in his truck a sped away while firing several shots. Roberts-Pugh then evaded an officer who tried to pull him over as he fled.
Investigators found two shell casings in the road where Roberts-Pugh was, and later located his unoccupied truck with two more shell casings inside.
Roberts-Pugh spoke to a detective on the phone Thursday and agreed to turn himself in.
He is charged with Discharge a Firearm from a Vehicle and Flee and Elude with Disregard of Safety to Persons/Property and later transferred to Lee County Jail.
